John Deere X300 Engine Kawasaki FH491V X304 Vertical Shaft HOURS, OIL LEAK

For sale - One complete engine removed from a running John Deere X300 with 1266.6 hours on a working meter. Engine started easily and ran great. Engine did not make unusual noise or smoke under load. Engine shows some seepage from the valve covers. Engine had an oil leak from the bottom end - I believe the leak was the oil drain tube O-ring and we replaced the O-ring.

Crankshaft seal and oil pan gasket appear to be okay - might not hurt to replace while the engine is out. Engine has 205 PSI compression on LH cylinder and 210 PSI compression on the RH cylinder. Carburetor is included as pictured - engine idled clean and had good power under load.

Stator charges properly and voltage regulator works as it should. Muffler is not included as pictured. Crankshaft measures 1" in diameter and approximately 3 and 1/8" in length. Ready to bolt on and work! See our other listings for more parts!
